Sacagawea, the beautiful Native American girl who bravely aided the Lewis and Clark expedition is adorned in pure gold on silver accents. Her child in toe, Jean Baptiste, born on the expedition, made his own mark in the history of the west as a guide and interpreter working with frontiersmen including Kit Carson. After the expedition Jean Baptiste spent many years living with Capt. William Clark. He died in 1866 the last survivor of the expedition.
